Faculty Services Librarian
Duties: Under the general direction of the Director, Reference & Research Services, as a member of the Reference Department, provides a high level of in-depth research assistance to the Law faculty, staff, and students, including Law School departments and deans, with an emphasis on faculty research. Supervises a group of faculty research assistants, provides reference desk service, prepares research guides, and participates in the teaching of legal research sessions throughout the year. May be assigned an area of concentration or to a project that varies according to library needs and the Librarian's individual talents and interests. Provides in-depth research assistance to Law faculty, departments, committees, and students; Serves as library research liaison to selected Law School deans, departments, and faculty; Provides ongoing support and supervision to a group of research assistants; Participates in library orientation programs; Performs reference desk service; Teaches legal research classes as a guest-lecturer in Lawyering Skills, seminars, and workshops; Contributes to the profession and represent the Law Library in the academic, scholarly, and professional community.
