Senior Developer / Analyst – Financial Institutions
Status: Full Time Location: Minneapolis MN/Chicago IL
Overview:
Client is seeking an energetic software development professional to assist in the development and delivery of client’s world class products in a dynamic development environment within our Financial Institutions Division. The successful candidate will possess great communication skills and a proven track record of delivering results. We are looking for a high energy Senior Developer who is experienced in all phases of the development life cycle and has experience delivering products to a wide range of customers. The position requires the individual to be able to work on many high profile projects simultaneously. Job Description:
The successful applicant will be a senior member of the development team assisting in the development and support of Client’s PortPro, PALMS, BANCMALL and Screener products. These are web based portfolio/bond accounting, asset liability management and loan/credit screening applications for the regional & community banks, credit unions and asset managers market.
The following key points highlight the position requirements:
• Participate in the creation of design documentation and present the designs to other project members. • Review application requirements and designs to provide feedback and development estimates. • Deliver high quality code in accordance with the design. • Create the plans and conduct the necessary testing and code reviews. • Troubleshoot existing processes to solve performance and logic bugs. • Provide technical feedback to product management team on proposed enhancements. • Develop and follow corporate standards and processes. Skills Required
• 5 or more years of JAVA. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate opinions and ideas. • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving abilities. • Autonomy to work effectively with minimal supervision. • Capacity to meet deadlines and to work under pressure in a team environment • Excellent customer service skills • Knowledge and experience in the following skill sets: o Visual Basic 6.0, Classic ASP, Visual

, C# o Microsoft Visualinterdev o Microsoft Internet Information Server, IIS o Microsoft C o Standard Template Library (STL) o Interprocess communications with sockets o XML o Database programming, especially Microsoft SQL Server • Additional skills would be a plus: o Crystal Reports’ o ISAPI o ADO o ODBC o HTML o JavaScript o COM/DCOM/COM o Data Junction • University Degree (preferred) • Experience with the securities industry would be beneficial.
