UI Software Architect / Lead Developer / Engineer

Location: San Mateo, CA



This company is looking for an experienced UI Architect / Lead Developer to drive design and development of a Web UI front end for a large-scale multi-role multi-user portal. This Web-based application contains a sophisticated workflow, enabling multiple types of internal and external users to interface with our advertising platform. The position requires strong prior experience in delivering outstanding user interfaces built on top of scalable and robust UI architecture. Ambitious software professionals will find an opportunity to work with a wide range of cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced development environment and to apply their passion for crafting exceptional user interfaces to be both challenging and engaging. This is a hands-on role.

Responsibilities:

Lead and drive the creation of industry-leading interfaces for the company's next generation advertising platform

Responsible for all UI-related application design and development efforts for the company

Ensure the on-time execution and delivery of high quality end-products

Proactively collaborate with cross-functional internal team members and/or external partners to define and execute against strategic goals

Provide thought leadership and best practices in all UI-related areas, as well as keeping up with the latest technologies and innovations in this area

Maintain in depth understanding of the company*s technology, products, and services

Requirements:

5 * 7 years requirements analysis, design, coding and testing of elegant, high-performing web applications

Proven results-oriented software professional with a delivery focus and experience with developing UI frameworks from inception to delivery

Have in-depth and hands-on knowledge of Web 2.0 strategies. Including, but not limited to:

o Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSLT/SOAP/WSDL, and Flex technologies

o Working-level knowledge of UI implementation technologies

o Development of applications on Apache, Tomcat and JBoss in Linux environment

Experience with reporting and charting technologies

Experience developing customer-facing Web sites or a large-scale portal is desirable

Strong organizational skills, proven ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communications skills is desirable

Must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast paced, competitive, and fun environment

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field * Master*s degree preferred
