Applications are invited for the above full-time post working in The Biocomposites Centre.
Reporting to the BioComposites Centre Director, duties will include financial and administrative support to Centre’s research team. You will be responsible for all aspects of the financial administration of externally funded projects linked to the Centre. This will include the costing of new projects, provision of advice and guidance on the financial management of projects and issues relating to eligibility, budget monitoring, preparation of grant claims and the liaison with the funders. You will also be responsible for the compilation and submission of claims using the online submission systems and for subsequent management of all audit requirements.
A critical part of this role is to develop and maintain excellent working relations with senior staff in the BioComposites Centre and to actively contribute to, and engage with, their project teams. Additional responsibilities will involve liaising with other staff in Bangor University’s Integrated Research and Impact Support (IRIS) Service with regards to financial reporting and management.
The successful candidate will hold an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, preferably fully qualified.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available for a period of 12 months in the first instance.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
This role will be located within the Environment Centre Wales at Bangor. Through  our Dynamic Working framework
, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
