We are looking for a House Manager to help manage and create experiences for our our Hunker House, working mostly from our Santa Monica office.
A big vision calls for a big job.  As we grow, our need for a Hunker House Manager
grows with us.
You’ll Report To:  VP, Content - Media
A typical day as a Hunker House Manager might include:
Day-to-day management of a branded live/work space accommodating events, short-term hospitality, content creation, and other brand-building activations.
Oversee initial “opening” of Hunker House: ensure space is set up to accommodate events and activations
Manage the rotation of furnishings, appliances, artwork and other elements within the space, which may change on a (minimum of a) quarterly basis depending on editorial themes and/or sponsorships
Regular and effective communication and coordination with multiple Hunker teams and external entities, including account managers, branded content, editors, photo, video, social media, influencer outreach, and partner brands.
Oversee planning and execution of events, including dinners, workshops, panel discussions, and sponsored activations
Coordinate with outside vendors including events specialists, caterers, stagers, stylists, movers, and more
Coordinate studio needs with photo, editorial, and video teams for the creation of original content for Hunker.com and its social channels
Help to coordinate team events
You’ll be successful if you have a unique mix of skills that spans event planning, experiential marketing, hospitality, and an understanding of what’s required for building strong home and design brands.
What You Have:
6 years of experience in event planning, experiential marketing or relevant field
Record of building and growing great brands through real-life experiences
Passion for and knowledge of the design/home decor space
Have an established network of prospective vendors (caterers, florists, stylists, DJs, rentals, etc.)
Highly organized and process-oriented with ability to multitask
Team player and ability to work collaboratively across different departments
Desire to be part of a scrappy, optimistic, and creative culture
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large.
