Reference Librarian
The candidate will be responsible for managing the regular operations of the reference department including: providing direct supervision and training to the reference librarians; and the evaluation of library reference services and priorities; the creation of relevant statistical reports as necessary; and actively keeping abreast of current information technology developments regarding library reference. Responsible for the development of library initiated reference instruction including teaching in the first year legal research and writing courses, Advanced Legal Research courses and library summer success and refresher training. Participate in working with reference librarians to provide extensive reference and research assistance to patrons, including evenings and weekends as needed; preparing research bibliographies, user guides and other research aids; participating in the selection of information resources, and developing and marketing library services to faculty and students.
