Senior Director, Litigation
Responsibilities: Serve as a senior member of the Legal department, including supporting department operations, budgeting and policy development. Provide direction, counsel and advise on all non-IP litigation and investigation matters affecting or relating to the operations of the business in US and Canada. Serve as primary point of contact for external parties such a law firms, government agencies, and claimants regarding litigations and investigation matters. Provide counsel to business operations regarding the negotiation of high litigation risk agreements such as those implicating antitrust concerns, and the interpretation of complex or ambiguous commercial agreements. Negotiate and provide counsel to business with respect to commercial disputes with suppliers, customers, and others. Supervise and advise business regarding response to patient claims. Provide support to company’s government affairs efforts as needed. Provide support for IP litigation, including Paragraph IV settlement reviews. Participate in Legal department management, including its operations, budgets and policies. Oversee and manage outside counsel with respect to litigations and investigations. Advance strategic interests of North America operations. Maintaining legal spend for litigation within specified budgetary mandates. Provide counsel to business operations regarding high risk agreements and the interpretation of complex and/or ambiguous agreements. Negotiate and provide counsel to business with respect to commercial disputes with suppliers, customers, and others. Supervise and advise business regarding response to patient claims. Provide support to company’s government affairs efforts. Provide support to company’s IP litigation – Par IV settlements.
