Solutions Engineer

Profile

Client provides technology solutions to optimize cost and enhance the performance of IT assets. Cost optimization solutions include virtualization, cloud computing, data center consolidation and back-up and disaster recovery. Performance optimization solutions include WAN Optimization and high performance multiservice networks.
Seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our growing engineering team based in Mid-Town New York City and team up with our Account Managers to create proposals, make presentations, and assist in implementation and post-sales support. Works directly with sales teams, delivery teams, and clients for the purpose of selling and delivery of services engagements
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years hands- on experience configuring, racking and stacking core Cisco routers and switches, (6509) in support of solutions deployed
Experience in developing customer proposals including Visio and SOW
Participate in technical presentations to customers
Serve as implementation lead for voice and video related technologies
Provide technical training to customers and sales team members
Knowledge of building and implementing wireless networks
Knowledge of unified communications solutions including IP Telephony and VC
Knowledge of WAN Optimization Solutions using technology solutions from Silverpeak, F5 and/or Riverbed
Knowledge of Data Center Solutions, including storage and server virtualization, Back-up and Disaster Recovery using technologies from EMC and VMWare
Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and project management skills
Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification. VMWARE, Silver-peak, and or EMC Certifications a plus
B.S. degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
