Title IX/Section 504 Coordinator
Duties: Working at SPU as the Title IX/Section 504 Coordinator: Will be a program manager, overseeing and managing the University’s Title IX and Section 504 compliance. As a compassionate and effective collaborator will work across campus to provide training, education, and prevention efforts regarding discrimination and sexual harassment prevention and accessibility to University programs that help faculty, staff, and students understand their rights and, where applicable, responsibilities under the law. Will be an analytical and meticulous administrator conducting ongoing reviews of policies, procedures, practices, education, and related obligations to ensure consistency with changing regulatory requirements and guidance from the Department of Education as well as maintaining records for all related complaints and investigations, analyzing data and trends, and identifying any systemic problems. Using competency and empathy will be able to provide resource referrals to faculty, staff, and students involved in investigations. Cultivate relationships and collaborate with a variety of institutional stakeholders to ensure Title IX and 504 policies are communicated to all constituents as well as facilitate communication among key personnel and coordinate with other University administrators with respect to overlapping obligations. Using knowledge and expertise as the content expert for Title IX policy, will partner with University counsel in Title IX and ADA/ Section 504 related litigation and regulatory matters. As a motivated learner will maintain expertise regarding compliance and best practices through education, review, and consultation with professional associations and colleagues.
