Intellectual Property Licensing Director
The candidate will lead the licensing team for its Office of Commercialization & Entrepreneurship. Collaboratively develop and realize a vision for how the organization will optimize its intellectual property and licensing activities to create the greatest impact in service of the firm's mission to translating innovation into commercial value and public benefit. Manage and mentor a team of licensing managers, and licensing associates, including establishing priorities and balancing workloads. Independently manage a substantial portfolio of intellectual property assets developed by company researchers throughout the technology transfer process. Development and implementation of processes for managing patent preparation and prosecution, including coordination with counsel, assessment of patentability and commercial potential. Business development, including creating and executing marketing strategies for company's intellectual property and innovation capabilities. Identification and successful conversion of candidates for licenses and research agreements. Management and “hands-on” experience in terms definition, negotiation and execution of license agreements. Collaborate with colleagues at all levels including, and be a visible representative of the company. Other duties as assigned.
