Java Software Developer
We are a very tight team of talented developers, and we are making real strides in changing the face of e-Commerce (we call is “me-commerce”). Our product is our user base – people are able to customize nearly every product on our website and it is imperative that our technology keeps up! We are still pre-IPO and have closed very significant rounds of VC funds. We also offer an amazing compensation and benefits package, great culture and a totally inclusive work environment.
What we are looking for:
We are in need of Java Software Developers at multiple levels (junior to senior). You will be responsible for the development of our core platform.
Our tech stack consists of EJB3 with Hibernate on JBoss, SQL, MySQL, Apache SOLR and UNIX/Linux platforms. Though we don’t hire based just on the technology you’ve used, we like smart people. If you would do it differently we are open minded and would love to hear!
What you would be doing:
Our technology offers customers millions of options to personalize each design. Each piece is manufactured to order at the highest possible quality, which gives us a true virtual inventory model. The technical challenges in product development are significant, including navigating a world of user-generated content. We are building an e-commerce product set that is unique to the industry.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Previous experience developing a Java based web application
Real desire to work in a highly collaborative engineering environment
Comfortable with agile development processes
Strong communication skills
Thinking like a business owner
Comfortable taking risks when appropriate, and making mistakes
A life learner – we don’t need someone who knows everything
Good sense of humor!
