We have a fulltime perm position for a Sr.SQL Server Developer with our direct client in Nashua, NH.
Client is open to H1 transfer candidates and out of state candidates that are willing to relocate to NH.
Position Overview
Client is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Developer to join our Business Intelligence Team inNashua,NH.
The Senior SQL Server Database Developer will work closely with Client Business Intelligence team members, as well as members of other Client departments (such as Client Financial Services and Sales groups), to design and maintain the corporate Business Intelligence infrastructure.
The Senior SQL Server Database Developer will integrate data from multiple business application systems into our corporate data warehouse, maintain data integrity and relationships, and develop and support our enterprise reporting and business process architectures.
Position Responsibilities
Develop an in-depth understanding of Client business application systems and data relationships
Collaborate with Business Intelligence and business department team members to identify and prioritize enterprise database requirements
Design, develop, implement, maintain and support data population of the corporate data warehouse from Client business application systems
Apply best practice methodologies to design and implement relational databases, star schemas, data marts and OLAP cubes
Design, develop, implement, maintain and support the enterprise analytical reporting architecture, applying appropriate security measures
Contribute to the optimization and performance tuning of corporate data warehouse database and file servers
Skills & Experience
5-8 years related experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 (T-SQL, DDL, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes)
Relational database and star schema design (Kimball Methodology) and implementation skills
Proven ability to design, implement and monitor Source to Target systems, identification of source system details, understanding of Dimensional Models/query tools, and Metadata Repositories
Proficient in data analysis, determining business logic and applying to development
Significant hands-on ability to perform all phases of the ETL process
Ability to identify opportunities to optimize the enterprise database architectures
Implementation and monitoring of validation processes to ensure data integrity
Proven ability to solve complex technical problems, assimilate information rapidly, and work under time constraints
PeopleSoft database (GL, AP, AR, Contracts, HR, CRM) architecture knowledge is highly desirable
Creation and maintenance of documentation for corporate data warehouse processes and design
Experience using Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, SSRS is a plus
Business Objects Universe design experience is highly desirable
Excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills
Ability to work closely with business users and technical resources, as well as independently
Strong customer focus
Ability to work well with others and reliably communicate requirements and status with other Client departments
Education and Certifications
BS degree in Computer Science related discipline or equivalent technical certifications
