SUMMARY:
This fully remote position supports the Customer Category Manager on retailer-specific projects for the Albertsons Safeway Pacific Team as well as analytics and insights that are required to drive sales volume distribution and advancing customer relationships. Other responsibilities include: Supports Category Leadership efforts by providing ad-hoc retail category and shopper analytics and assists CCM and Sr. CCM in developing actionable recommendations to drive category brand growth. Utilizes DLPs and CLPs to create actionable and relevant insights that can be applied to retailer-specific category strategic and tactical plans including: Shopper insights Shelving guidelines Macro space customized syndicated data pulls and analysis Assists in developing and building assortment builds for demand transfer projects: Building and analyzing cumulative sales and illustrating inefficiencies by SKU Building and analyzing ROM rest of market SKU ranking and opportunities Forecasting new item adds innovation cannibalization Applies Albertson Safeway internal EYC analysis to create category and brand growth recommendations. Assists in developing insight-based recommendations of space management sales distribution pricing and promotion. Develops recommended POG s incorporating optimal assortment and merchandising principles. Leads RichMix principles and activities. Supports Pacific Region sales team with TPD forecasting Business Reviews New Item presentations and performance Scorecarding.

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: BA degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE: 3 plus years of experience in Category Management Sales and or Consumer Insights. Food industry Albertson Safeway and Space Planning Apollo JDA experience a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced skills in PowerPoint Excel.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Effective presentation verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present findings insights and strategic recommendations.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING: Ability to build strong relationships with customers and across a wide range of departments.
ANALYTICAL SKILLS: Ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan and drive action.
STRONG PLANNING ORGANIZING SKILLS: Able to establish priorities strong detailed execution and ability to multi-task and manage major projects simultaneously.
SPECIAL SKILLS if applicable : Experience analyzing data providing actionable insights utilizing retailer data sources and syndicated data IRI Nielsen usage; excellent planning and project management skills; strong ability to leverage creative thinking; ability to bring innovation to projects and processes; able to make decisions and solve problems and able to work collaboratively and cross-functionally. Self-starter able to work independently on projects. SUPERVISORY: None
TRAVEL: Periodic. Estimated 15-20 to include customer meetings national meetings store visits.
