We are hiring a Digital Engineer II to join our Resilience, Reliability, and Quality team. This position is to be focused on improving the performance and resilience of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s digital and technology entities. This is an excellent opportunity to join and help shape a best-in-class operations performance engineering team! We focus on agile operations with a DevOps culture in a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities: Assess and develop solutions to further improve BestBuy.com performance
Perform load tests against a multi-origin, zero-downtime, highly scalable web infrastructure
Design, develop, review and execute load testing scripts with industry-leading tools
Develop load testing plans to handle peak volumes for top 3 e-commerce retailer
Identify performance bottlenecks and constraints and work with engineering teams on remediation
Analyze performance testing results providing actionable recommendations
Be a subject matter expert for cross-functional teams on performance
Basic Qualifications: 6 years lead performance engineering experience in the e-commerce industry
6 years performance test scripting experience (SOASTA, JMeter, LoadRunner…)
Proficient with performance tuning tools (Dynatrace, JProfiler, JConsole, VisualVM…)
Experience in Virtual/Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google…)
Experience working in large/fast-paced environments with many moving pieces
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extensive experience with JavaScript development
Experience with CPU and memory profiling
Proficient in developing scripts for automation (Ruby, Java)
Understanding of large n-tier service-oriented architectures
Preferred Qualifications: Enjoy building relationships with people outside of the primary team
Experience working in an agile type environment
Experience with Garbage collection and RHEL administration
Strong software development experience working with object-oriented programming languages (Java, Ruby...)
Experience with common web technologies (HTTP, REST, Web Services, XML, etc.)
Experience with Unix server monitoring and shell scripting
Prior experience writing Database/SQL
