What is the Core SAP Development Team?

We are constantly fostering the innovation and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies while building high-performance and scalable solutions. This team is primarily responsible for technical SAP strategy, vision, and all custom development for Tyson Foods. This team collaborates with many different IT areas such as: Basis, Web/Mobile, Integration, Analytics, Enterprise Architects among others. Tyson Foods Core SAP Development team is seeking an SAP architect to join us. The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated leader with superior analytical abilities. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Key focus areas will be delivery, standardization, and governance of our SAP technical areas. Looking for someone with a technologist mindset with high initiative and integrity who excels in leading their team to success.

Do I have the leadership qualifications?


Strong proficiency providing SAP technical vision and the strategies to achieve it. Evaluating and staying apprised of new solutions/tools in SAP’s roadmap, investigating new techniques, and understanding emerging features. Search for and apply new ideas from inside Tyson and other organizations.
Proactively supporting Enterprise Architecture activities that create deliverables to guide the direction and development for technological responses to disruptive forces and driving targeted business outcomes.
Experience in organizing the technical phases of large-scale projects and delivering quality releases on schedule. Strong track record in mentoring a team of technical engineers and successfully drive cross-functional technical projects. Ability to encourage software engineers to look for innovative ways to accomplish goals. Recognize that change is essential, set goals for change and lead purposeful efforts to adapt work that aligns with the stated vision.
Create and ensure the adherence of SAP development standards and best practices.
Establish connections and constantly build your network and influence to build trust, share ideas, and provide insights to those in IT, the business, and vendors.
Experience working in on/offshore model
Able to set clear goals and priorities. Deliver on commitments. Make timely, high-quality decisions. Add value with superior expertise. Deliver a high level of customer service. Strong communication, analytical, and team player. Communicate candidly, effectively, and motivationally.


Do I have the technical qualifications?


College degree (or equivalent experience) with 8 years of progressive experience in an SAP IT technical environment
Strong technical experience working with an SAP S/4 Hana ERP
Strong proficiency in ABAP on HANA, oData, CDS, AMDP, ADBC, Fiori, UI5
Experience working in several SAP S/4 modules, must have strong SD/MM background
Experience working in multiple project methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, etc.)
Preferred experience on CI/CD framework and other DevOps practices
Certifications in SAP
