Senior Director
The candidate must have: JD Degree from an accredited law school. 10+ years’ prior work experience in planned giving successfully closing a variety of planned and major gifts with differing degrees of complexity. High ethical standards and respect for donor privacy and confidentiality. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to relate well to the public including providing relevant information to prospects and their attorneys by phone, email and mail. Knowledge and understanding of investment and financial matters, complex assets and business transactions. Proven fundraising and leadership skills in the area of planned giving and major gifts. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. Ability to listen is essential. Able to ask leading questions which encourage prospects and donors to talk about themselves and their activities. Preferred: A Law Degree, an advanced law degree specifically in taxation is preferred. Working knowledge of PGCalc or Crescendo. Working knowledge of a donor database, tracking system (CRM). Preferably Advance or Salesforce.
