Product Manager, International Payments

The Client, the leading global platform for online employment, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to have complete functional ownership over our international payment offering. Payments are central to our business success and represent a critical strategic area for us. Given its importance, the role is a broadly defined business management position with responsibility for the following activities:
* Strategy - determining what payment products and services to offer to make our platform more compelling to both employers and contractors, and how they should be priced
* Product Management - ensuring the user experience around managing an The Client financial account is exceptionally easy and clear
* Business Development - work with premier worldwide banks and payment partners to create new solutions, typically including complex financial analysis of foreign exchange, international treasury, and volume optimization
* Marketing - increasing brand awareness of our services, with special focus on highly effective communication resulting in user understanding of their payment options and optimum choice of their payment product
The successful candidate will be able to use their creativity and innovation to establish funds movement to and from over 100 countries in a safe, predictable and cost-effective manner.
The Product Manager of International Payments will be an integral member of an eight-member product team, reporting directly to the VP of Product and working closely with Finance, Operations, Marketing and Engineering. The individual will have extensive general management freedom to leverage their experience in payments and the finance industry.
The successful candidate will have:
* 5 years experience in international payments or FX, product management, or strategy consulting
* Demonstrated outstanding strategic, problem-solving and leadership skills
* MBA with a emphasis in international finance or similar experience preferred
* Passion for joining an intense company that thinks big and moves fast
