Law Library Director and Librarian
The candidate will be responsible for overall leadership, program development, administration, resource management, and strategic planning of the Law Library. Communications and public relations. Strategic planning. Leadership and oversight of staff. Development and oversight of the collection. Oversight of Law Library services to faculty, students, and the public. Cooperation with and assistance to other College units, such as student services, development, career services, alumni relations, the West Virginia Law Review, and clinics. Collaboration with law faculty to design and teach legal research courses. Personal research and scholarly writing. Should have JD degree and an M.L.S. or related degree. Must have 8+ years of successful professional experience in law libraries, including evidence of progressive responsibility, leadership, budget management, successful and creative management of staff and operations, and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience and proficiency with law-practice technology is also preferred.
