Daily Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities might include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring operational integrity of FDIC's UNIX systems
* Installation of UNIX hardware and software,
* Troubleshooting hardware and software issues,
* Completing on-going server maintenance, and
* Measuring the availability of all devices on the enterprise network, where UNIX is the host for all new applications, and is part of the target architecture of the FDIC.
* Clustering with VERITAS and working in a Multi-zone development shop
* Supporting an Oracle Database System in Sun 6800/6900 M5000/M8000 environment
* Devising solutions to operational problems within Capacity and Operational limitations of installed equipment. May develop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages.

* Experience with UNIX Utilities and Commands
* Experience with UNIX System Management
* Linux experience
* Experience with UNIX Network Management
* Experience with Veritas System Management
