Chief Compliance Officer
Duties: Oversees the System’s compliance, risk, and privacy programs. Continuously monitors, evaluates, audits, and identifies possible areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Assists with the development, initiation, maintenance, and revision of policies and procedures for the System’s compliance, privacy, and risk programs. Collaborates with the Chief Legal Officer on compliance investigations and other matters of legal oversight and review. Provides general guidance, advice, and System-wide training on compliance issues. Monitors changes in relevant regulatory areas and maintains strong subject matter expertise in compliance and risk. Serves as the System’s Privacy Officer and acts as the responsible person for auditing, gathering, and reporting results of the privacy compliance efforts of the System. Manages, and helps evaluate, professional liability claims. Presents periodic compliance reports and education to the Board of Trustees and senior leadership. Supervises risk manager; and Performs such other appropriate functions as may be assigned from by the Chief Legal Officer.
