Research Services Librarian/Lecturer in Law

Duties: Provide legal reference and research services, participate in the faculty liaison program, and teach legal research classes in the first-year Legal Research & Writing program. Develop and teach a one-credit upper-division specialized legal research course. Reports to the Associate Director for Public Services. Teach legal research skills in the first-year Legal Research & Writing program. Develop and teach on a regular basis an upper-division specialized legal research course that aligns with Vanderbilt Law School’s curriculum and programs. Participate in the faculty liaison program. Provide legal reference and research services to students, faculty, the Vanderbilt community, and the public. Participate in collection development activities. Create and update online research guides, tutorials, and other web content. Maintain professional growth by participating in educational programs and activities to ensure knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments. Participate in the work of University Libraries committees.
