Policy and Program Director
The candidate will grants management of all formula and discretionary grants awarded to the organization; Identification, development, improvement, updating, revising, and retiring of state policies; Coordination of workforce partners for input on policy development; Ensuring timelines within policies are met by local area workforce development boards; Development and implementation of project management for annual compliance audits; Development and implementation of project management for routine and specialized compliance audits; Monitoring of and assignments for federal policy releases, and related state policy development; Monitoring of state legislation, interim studies, and other developments related to workforce, education, and economic development; Developing and maintaining quality processes for technical assistance and training; Interpretation of federal and/or state law and regulations; Oversees a team of subject matter experts who ensure program and policy development and compliance, including that of formula and discretionary grants; Conducts evaluations, plan of improvements and disciplinary action on employees who are direct reports; Management of team to ensure equitable work load, and proper coverage of programs and cross-training of staff; Completes all mandatory training and participated in a minimum of two professional development each year; Performs other duties as assigned.
