Assistant Dean of Career Development
The candidate will ensure a high level of career counseling and planning, employer recruiting, and job search services provided to law students and alumni by the school Development Office. Duties will include direct, supervise, and work with Career Development Office (CDO) team to counsel students and alumni in career planning, job searches, resume preparation, interview skills, and networking in the diverse legal market; coordinate training skills workshops, career forums, and alumni speaker programs; manage the on-campus interview (OCI) program; plan and implement innovative marketing strategies for identifying a diverse group of potential employers; foster effective working relationships with employers, students, alumni, staff, and other placement professionals; aggressively develop alumni and employer outreach programs and current job listings; maintain general office supervision within the CDO, including managing the budget and supervising Associate/Assistant Directors, Recruiting Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, and student workers; manage employment data collection and reporting to governing bodies, including the ABA and NALP; regularly participate in alumni and employer networking functions; work closely with the Alumni Office to cultivate and enhance employer and alumni relationships; uphold the University mission through all work performed; and other duties as assigned.
