Description

As a Senior Release Management Engineer, you will ensure that software changes made to the pharmacy claims processing system meet business standards, functional and end-user requirements. The Senior Release Management Engineer's work assignments are varied with diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. It frequently requires interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate course of action.

Responsibilities

The Senior Release Management Engineer thoroughly evaluates the software changes according to the business standards or functional requirements. This position will directly work and assist business areas with comprehending business requirements, writing, and executing test cases.

Detailed responsibilities include:


Responsible for test execution, test case documentation, test strategy, defect reporting and retest, regression planning, and post production validation for the assigned business functionality
Develop test data and procedures and monitor progress towards implementation to ensure products meet organization standards and end-user requirements
Identify testing gaps and process improvement opportunities
Make decisions on complex issues regarding the best testing approach for project components
Tracks and reports on test plan status, defects/fixes and metrics related to overall quality
Prioritize testing based on multiple factors to include project delivery date, any outside dependencies, and data limitations
Understand how to identify test scenarios, correlating data and other business impacts needing regression testing
Interact with release management team, vendor business and IT teams, Humana business and IT teams.
Work with subject matter experts to develop business area expertise and ensure any barriers are escalated and resolved in a timely manner
Use Excel or other skills to develop automated solutions for scenario and results validation
Quickly develop a detailed understanding of impacted business flows and quality assurance methodologies


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree or minimum 2 years of professional experience in healthcare, technical or similar industry
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creative troubleshooting of business problems
Ability to engage and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to think outside the box, work in a team, and focus on deadlines and deliverables


Preferred Qualifications


Experience in use of various test management software like Azure Test plan, qTest etc.
Understanding of SDLC, Testing Life Cycle & Test Automation
Experience in Automation testing and Test Driven Development
