that will be responsible for managing the Digital Release Team that supports the engineering teams of BestBuy.com. The primary goal of this position will be to evolve the Release Management and Deployment processes/practices in partnership with our Engineering teams to improve automation and efficiency. The person in this role will have exposure to senior leadership and must have the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals/teams across the enterprise.

Job Duties:
Manage **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s Digital Release team who support over 500 web applications
Facilitate release planning and status meetings by identifying issues and risks associated with the release. This includes the tracking of deliverables with product managers as the release moves through the various SDLC phases
Develop Subject Matter level knowledge of various products and manage release cycle for their applications
Manage Deployment of applications for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s E-commerce platform on Apache, Tomcat, and Jboss application webservers.
Support Continuous integration tools like Jenkins to manage build scripts and ensure successful builds for releases
Drive Agile methodology and leverage Agile tools in order to accomplish Release goals
Develop team troubleshooting expertise for production release incidents
Direct management of release engineers
Lead and develop team through new project initiatives and Holiday support
Lead interactions between Engineering and Operations teams
24x7 Support in case of emergency releases and Holiday support
Minimum Qualifications:
6 or more years of professional work experience in IT or software development with a bachelor’s degree.
2 or more years of formal or informal leadership experience inclusive of acting as a technical lead, managing projects, or mentorship.
2 or more years of experience deploying web applications to multiple environments including experience with deployment automation
1 or more years of experience with cloud & virtualization-based technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, GCP, Akamai and/ or VMWare
1 or more years of experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins
Hands on experience with Source control systems like GIT and Subversion
Extensive problem solving and decision-making skills
Experience communicating and collaborating with individuals, teams, and senior leadership across a large enterprise.
Ability to work in a fast paced and highly dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence for Release Management activities, such as: metrics gathering, managing a release pipeline across multiple interdependent teams
Exposure with automation efforts of several aspects of software development; for example: automate build process upon code check-in, automate deployment, and configuring artifacts repository
Experience with logging tools such as Splunk for investigating and monitoring of production issues
Solid understanding of DNS routing rules, networking, and load balancers
Project Management experience using Scrum or Kanban
Direct management of multiple teams
Career management and development of team
