As **Senior Quality Engineer** , you will have responsibility for Internal Supplier Controls for the Product Sustaining Engineering Team as part of Neuromodulation Operations Quality.
**Medtronic Neuromodulation** delivers innovative therapies and solutions for neurological diseases, pain, and spasticity.
**Day in the Life - Responsibilities**
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
Utilize strong oral, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, technical writing, and project management skills as part of a highly cross functional team with key stakeholder throughout all of Medtronic.
Lead the investigation of complex product and process problems and identify and manage corrective actions.
Travel requirement: less than 10%
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements (Must be evident on your resume):**
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with
4 years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality
OR
Advanced degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with
2 years of work experience in Engineering and/or Quality.
**Preferred**
Quality Engineering experience in a medical device or related industry
Applied knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Strong oral communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
Experience applying statistical methodology
Experience implementing process improvements
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work effectively within team and across functions
Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly
Familiarity with ISO13485, MDSAP, FDA QSR, or other national/international quality requirements
ASQ-CQE, CQA, CBA or equivalent certifications
Six Sigma Green Belt (ASQ Certified or Equivalent)
Proficient in engineering drawing and GD&T
