As an Engagement Editor at BestReviews, you will play an integral role in our audience development efforts across several content systems. Youll use quantitative data and editorial judgment to oversee the quality of titles we cover for our news partners. This is an opportunity to perfect a content distribution strategy for news partners with differing audiences. Youll advocate for your team to ensure you are getting the proper tools and resources to accomplish your tasks at the highest level possible.
This role is full-time and remote. Learn more about us here: ****Your primary objective / responsibilities:
Manage assignment editors for specialty syndication channels, optimizing processes for efficiency and efficacy of content.
Oversee the ideation team, leveraging audience-development best practices to ensure were covering the best topics possible.
Work with the team on integration of new CMS features.
Ensure content is up to standard before publishing.
Leverage existing data sources, ensuring we make the smartest decisions based on shared KPI.
Assist implementing new syndication opportunities.
Own the maintenance of style guides, instructions for working on your channels.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Experience in a newsroom or running complex content systems is a major plus.
Experience recruiting and managing a large freelance team of top editorial talent.
A deep understanding of audience development analytics, tools, SEO best practices.
Highly organized, with excellent time management.
Able to work remotely, communicating primarily via Slack, Google Meet.
Experience using various CMS like Wordpress.
Passionate about creating amazing content.
High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational/project management skills.
A proven ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
Experience managing a team is a plus.
A desire to learn and expand skill sets.
