Associate Counsel - Academic Collaborations and IP Licensing
The candidate will focus on supporting academic collaborations and intellectual property licensing, with a particular emphasis on international programs and transactional matters arising in the University's education and research mission. Will provide advice and assistance to the Office of Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships, the Office of Sponsored Program Services, the Purdue Global Resources Committee, the University Copyright Office, the University Trademarks and Licensing Office, and the Office of the Provost, as well as individual academic units when applicable. Will research and analyze legal issues; draft legal memoranda and provide opinions on complex issues; negotiate and draft agreement documentation; provide advice or compliance with applicable laws and University policies; and provide legal services on other matters as assigned. Will interact with outside counsel, University-affiliated organizations, licensees of intellectual property, and funding partners, including governmental grantors and other contract counterparties.
