Job Description We are looking for an enbedded firmware engineer to develop the boot loaders and the secure boot loaders for our Set Top Box embedded firmware group in Irvine. Work closely with the chip and the hardware groups to emulate and to bring up the new Set Top Box chips. Support customers on a regular basis to troubleshoot the system boot and secure boot issues.

Responsibilities include:
- Implement, and bring up the boot loaders for Set Top Box chips.
- Emulate the boot code prior to the chips tape out.
- Integrate security features into the boot loaders.
- Prepare security boot loader S/W package for Conditional Access certifications.
- Work with internal and external customers to diagnose system boot issues.
- Develop scripts to kick off automated tests.
Job Requirements - BSEE with 5 years experience or MSEE with 2 years experience.
- C and Assembly programming skills.
- Experience with MIPS and ARM processors is a bug plus.
- Familiar with security algorithms is a plus.
- Familiarity with EJTAG debuggers, scopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
