Job Details:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Must be willing to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with other Team Members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Plant Maintenance positions require one year experience in industrial maintenance, or equivalent certification from a technical school. Experience or certification should include knowledge in industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, plumbing and welding. Knowledge in the operation of PLC’s is a plus. Strong electronic skill set is a must.

Openings for this position will be filled by the most qualified, eligible bidder per Tyson’s Job Bidding Policy. Must have completed 90-day probationary period to apply. If a non-probationary period team member is not selected, probationary team members will be considered. Must have a satisfactory attendance record of 2 points or less and at 5 points will be required to return to general production to an open available position. Must not have received a written warning/suspension in the last 6 months. Non operators must have completed a six-month period on previous successful bid. Must submit application in WORKDAY. **This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations or external applicants will then be reviewed for consideration.

Pay Scale:MG01-MG08 - $17.57 - $25.10
