Job Summary:
 
Under the direction of the assigned Therapy Supervisor, the Therapy Technician is responsible for developing the knowledge and techniques necessary to provide patient care, maintain facility cleanliness and function as well as assist facility clinicians as needed to help the therapist maintain their schedule.
 
Esssential Duties:

Demonstrates knowledge and ability to perform assigned modality, exercise, transfer and gait activities under professional supervision.
Accurately creates and edits the daily patient list and charge slips by checking in Meditech for room changes, new orders and discharges. Collects updates from staff regarding patient status (inpatient).
Manages daily charge slip, enters charges into Meditech accurately and reconciles charges. Assists with Medicare/G-code tracking. (inpatient)
Emails or faxes copies of previous days’ daily list and charge sheet to identified recipient list. (inpatient)
Maintains adequate levels of supplies.
Monitors, cleans, organizes and maintains department equipment including maintenance and monitoring of the therapy pool, hydorocollators and freezers in the outpatient setting.
Maintains a clean, safe and orderly working environment including management of linens and laundry.','!*!License/Certification:

BLS is required within 30 days of hire.
Experience:

Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Previous experience as a Therapy Technician or CNA is preferred. 
Education:
