Title IX Investigator
Duties: Reporting to the Title IX Coordinator, responsible for investigating and resolving complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, gender-related violence including stalking and intimate partner violence, and involving undergraduate and graduate students at the University. Will work collaboratively with other members of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. community to investigate and resolve complaints as set forth in university policies and in accordance with federal and state regulation. Will work with the Title IX Coordinator to manage the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the University’s Title IX compliance obligations and assist with training. Act in the capacity of the Lead Title IX Investigator and resolve complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, gender-related violence including stalking and intimate partner violence, and involving undergraduate and graduate students at the University. Conduct interviews and gather other available information to be used during investigations. Act as a neutral party through all aspects of investigation and ensures a prompt, fair and neutral process for all parties. Develop and provide detailed, high-quality, unbiased reports regarding investigations. Make recommendations to Title IX Coordinator regarding results of investigations in accordance with relevant policies, regulations, and/or laws. Advise involved parties of their rights. Maintain a high level of confidentiality during all proceedings. Provide periodic, timely updates regarding the status of complaints received and investigations in progress to Title IX Coordinator. Assist in development of protocols, procedures, and policies. Collaborate with various offices to address any systemic issues. Work with other university stakeholders to ensure Title IX policies are communicated to all constituencies. Assist in maintaining requested statistics and data for reporting purposes Remain knowledgeable of current state and federal law, regulations, and trends in the field of education related to harassment and other discriminatory practices that violate Title IX. Assist in providing consultation and information regarding Title IX,VAWA, FERPA, and Clery Act requirements to a variety of University constituents. Create and participate in providing education, training, and outreach relating to Title IX and VAWA.
