Job Summary

Responsible for participating as an technical expert in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to new products implementation, implementing existing products and services and providing the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, Engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. May direct workflow and act as a technical lead. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities


Provide expertise in the areas of User ID maintenance, Security Role maintenance including the latest techniques for Fiori catalog and group maintenance, and Security Role assignment.
SAP BRIM user and access maintenance.
Convergent Mediation role and access Maintenance (Security).
Develop and implement SAP security solutions to protect SAP systems from both internal and external threats.
Perform and monitor mitigations when rule violations are detected for access requests.
Create and manage policy-driven workflow processes for access management.
Provide high-level and detailed estimates for activities involving role provisioning, and solution design, commensurate with an architecture role.
Work on projects across other SAP systems and components.


Understand SOX audit requirements.


Work on security support requests raised by business SMEs, ranging from new security developments, changes, enhancements, troubleshooting, and support.
Work with Internal and External Audits to make sure requirements are met and there are no gaps.
Work closely with SAP System Owner to provide emergency firefighter access to SAP support staff.
Extensive exposure to SAP GRC access control.



System administration: Managing day-to-day operations of the SAP BRIM system, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity.

Maintenance: Applying software updates, patches, and upgrades to keep the system current and secure.

User management: Creating and maintaining user accounts, roles, and permissions to control access to the SAP BRIM system.

Technology integration: Integrating SAP security solutions with other technologies and systems, such as identity management, network security, and cloud services.

Technical support: Providing technical support to users and resolving issues related to SAP BRIM functionalities and processes.

Compliance: Ensuring that the SAP BRIM system complies with regulatory and industry standards, such as data privacy and security regulations.

Drives issues through closure engaging all appropriate resources. Leads technical bridges and provides troubleshooting direction. Provides guidance and recommended solutions to complex technical issues.

Acts as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies, and processes. Ensures projects are fully integrated into the operations environment including lifecycle problem management from front-line CARE through Engineering.

Leads the integration of projects into operations including instrumentation, automation, standardization, and methods/procedures.

Expert knowledge and application of project management skills, process design, and redesign skills.

Applies advanced engineering methodologies in one or more engineering areas.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.

Qualifications:


Technical skills: Strong knowledge of SAP BRIM, and related technologies, such as MuleSoft Anypoint API management, database management, network security, and operating systems.

Business understanding: Knowledge of billing and revenue management processes and how they are supported by SAP BRIM.

Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP BRIM.

Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Project management: Experience with managing SAP projects and delivering solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.

Certifications: Relevant SAP certifications, such as SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP BRIM or SAP NetWeaver Technology, are desirable but not required.
