SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks: Perform repairs as well as preventive maintenance to all production equipment, including ingredient legs, pellet mill, boiler, etc. Troubleshoot repairs and incidents and determine first contact for help. Develop key maintenance protocol under the Feed Mill management direction (Maintenance log, Preventative Maintenance log, Trouble Shooting Guidelines, Downtime Tracking log, etc.). Learn the feed making process and assist operations when needed. Accurately perform or assist in performing physical inventories on a variety of commodities. Assist with finished feed load-out as necessary. Assist in sanitation duties as necessary. Must be able to read and understand manuals. Must have good math skills along with basic computer skills, emphasis on Excel, Word while executing and documenting work completed. A Class A CDL is preferred but not required. Must be able to bend, climb, twist, lift and able to work in all environments of the feed mill facility. Applicant will maintain 98% attendance, adhere to all safety policies, and perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and/or management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have one year of industrial maintenance experience and at least six months of continuous work history with same employer within the last twelve months or was attending technical school or training within the last twelve months to be considered for this position. Related technical school or training will be considered in lieu of industrial maintenance work experience. Must be able to work assigned shifts and weekends. Technical training in any maintenance related field and/or prior applicable job-related experience is preferred.

Applicant must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Exhibit ability to progress through the Maintenance skills training program and obtain the required job-related skills.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills verbal and written.

All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of a post-offer health assessment.

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
