One of our clients is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer
Firmware Test Engineer
Home monitor with wireless aspect which interfaces with Carelink website.
Someone with hardware testing would help and is considered a bonus.
QA testing exp required in regulated industry. (med device)
DOORS currently used for defect tracking maybe moving to TFS
The Firmware is programed in: .Net and Java
Person will start out on legecy systems
Firmware / Software Engineer
Minimum Education B.S.
Main Purpose Perform Firmware / Software test responsibilities and provide solutions to high complexity technical problems.
Responsibilities:
• Diverse knowledge of combination products that include Firmware / Software / Hardware for consumer based customers.
• Perform requirement analysis to uncover requirement gaps, errors to ensure requirements are testable.
• Perform test development and test execution in a regulated industry. This includes implementing test methods that improve quality in the work that is performed within the test function. This may include but not limited to defining reusable test data strategies, functional and regression test approach for features, etc.
• Moderate SW programming & automation tool experience.
• Partnership with development team and system engineering to resolve issues within the product.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance.
Requirements Minimum Requirements:
• Verification experience in a regulated industry.
• Knowledge of current industry wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools and techniques.
Preferred Requirements:
• Firmware / Software skills (C, C , C#, SQL, Linux/Unix, Terminal Emulators)
• Medtronic device knowledge desirable.
• Test Platform tools (DOORs, TFS, Issue Management Tools, Version Control tools, etc)
Physical Requirements:
• Sit/work in front of a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day.
• Able to lift 25 pounds.
