Solution Architect
POSTION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The SA is the primary customer facing technical resource and is responsible for developing trust and rapport with the customer’s senior technical resources.
Participates in pre-sales, sales, delivery, quality assurance, and support and maintenance activities
Participates in client business planning activities with Industry Partners, Industry Consultants and Business Analysts on technical aspects related to the solution technology and business process automation
Provides technical leadership on system integration engagements and projects
Performs technical design activities including data, application and integration design architecture and related documentation
Identifies and escalates technical risks to Industry Partners and Program Managers for discussions with customers
Provides input and technical information for SOW creation
Provides technical and business related information and functions, such as process and automation information to the Business Analyst and the
Identifies and gathers business and technical requirements through workshops, interviews, business and technical documentation reviews from the customer, and discussions with the customer and related technical resources
Performs technology assessments, gap analysis, and AS IS/TO BE States of system, and provides recommendations for the architected solution
Provides innovative approaches and solutions for customer needs
Performs code reviews and checks the QA of all solution designs on internal as well as outsourced implementations for assigned projects
Performs executive relationship management
Utilizes and enforces Program Management best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in computer science, business, or the equivalent real world experience
8 years of hands on Solution Architect role experience
Knowledge of system integration for retail, finance, marketing, and government point of sales systems
Knowledge of enterprise networks and network security
Familiarity with core and disruptive technologies and business models including, NFC, Social Media, Business Intelligence, E-Marketing, Embedded Systems, Mobile Application Development, E-Commerce/Point of Sales, and CRM
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Identification, integration, solutioning and design for Retail and Government Point of Sales applications, software and hardware systems.
Design and integration of Point of Sales applications with existing NCR products and competitive products, 3
rd
party software(s) and customer financial systems.
Experience and understanding of .NET/Windows platform
solutions, relational databases, high availability/fault resilient systems, innovative, modernization of systems and platforms, and not only application and enterprise solution architecture
creation but also iOS/mobile platform
based solutions for smart technology and kiosks.
Customization of Point of Sales application
products to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
Root cause analysis.
Requirements – Design – Development gap analysis and solution alignment.
Code review, unit test review and feedback to development team members.
Full lifecycle solution architecture and technical project leadership.
Deployment readiness assessment and delivery.
Traditional SDLC waterfall and Agile experience
