Hatchery Maintenance Generalist - First Shift--Walnut Grove MS

Profile

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position could work in any department of the hatchery. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas. Lifting is required in many areas.. Working on elevated surfaces is required in some areas. This position works in a dusty, cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces.

Applicant must reside in a 50-mile radius of the facility located at 2060 Hwy 35, Walnut Grove, Mississippi 39189.

Hours of work are Monday–Thursday 6:00 am - 3:30 am and Friday 6 :00 am until 12:00 pm with flexibility.

Applicants must have at least 10 years of industrial maintenance experience and 10 years HVAC experience.

Applicant must have Level 2 Certification in HVAC.

Applicant must have welding and cutting fabrication skills.

Applicant must communicate both orally and in writing.

Applicant must possess basic math and intermediate computer skills which include proficiency in windows based programs such as Word and Excel.

Applicant must be able to obtain powered industrial truck certification (PIT).

Applicant must have the ability to pass pulmonary function test to dispense chemicals and comply with OSHA guidelines.

Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.
