Job Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Applicant must have a minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.( Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).

Applicants will be considered for any industrial maintenance opening on any shift available. Applicant, if offered a position, will be required to work weekends to perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Industrial Maintenance Technicians are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by Supervisor as well as confirm time into the SAP system to record daily activities and create equipment history. Must have the ability to proficiently TIG weld stainless steel to meet USDA standards for food contact. Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints as well as have understanding of basic plumbing and the ability to work independently. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be able to lift to 70 lbs. daily and be able to work on your feet for a period of up to 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. This position requires working in a cold, damp, hot, and humid environment with slippery surfaces.
