MicroStrategy Administrator

Profile

Our client, who is a Fortune 50 company located in Los Angeles, California is currently seeking a MicroStrategy Administrator for a contract to permanent opportunity.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience as a primary MicroStrategy administrator for mid to large-sized environments
Demonstrated ability to use the MicroStrategy Administration toolkit including Command , Object , and License
Ability to execute MicroStrategy administrative tasks with minimal oversight
Certified as a MicroStrategy platform administrator
Experience with upgrading MicroStrategy from a 32-bit Windows environment to a 64-bit Universal Linux environment
Experience with MicroStrategy in a clustered environment
Experience with optimizing SQL through use of internal MicroStrategy VLDB settings as well as database tuning techniques
Strong verbal and written communication skills with both business users and technical developers
Desired qualifications:
Teradata database experience
MicroStrategy repositories on Oracle databases
Linux and Windows server architecture in a physical and virtual environment
Experience with the entertainment industry
Experience with creating and executing Enterprise reports
Experience with MicroStrategy development toolset
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley IT audit requirements
Responsibilities:
Execute MicroStrategy administration activities supporting three sets of environments. Activities include user and object migrations and maintenance, performance tuning and optimization, scheduling, and cache and history list management.
Primary contact and support for daily production schedules including ensuring that the environments are available, monitoring services, and oversight of the delivery of scheduled reports
Support for production implementation and migrations during off-hours and weekends
Execute project to upgrade existing 32-bit Windows environment to a 64-bit Universal Linux environment. Project tasks will include installation and configuration of all MicroStrategy components (Intelligence Server, Web Server, Narrowcast, Mobile) in a new hardware environment, migration of existing metadata to new repositories supporting the 64-bit environment, and support for the rollout of the upgrade through the development, testing, and production environments - Support yearly Sarbanes-Oxley audit process to ensure that MicroStrategy user security and change management processes comply with both internal and external requirements
