Interior Designer Assistant Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Essential Functions: Assists with creating, organizing, and maintaining office system/database to track and archive completed/ in-progress projects, project files, and design resources. Assists with creating presentations and mood boards using designated software. Assists with researching design inspirational images at the direction of interior designers. Assists with creating various documents such as project plans, progress reports, inventory reports, and project request forms utilizing various software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Smartsheet; and SharePoint. Assists with researching, sourcing, pricing, and tracking product and materials for the development of the material library. Places and tracks orders for finish materials, furniture, and accessories for completion of projects. Researches vendors for pricing and availability; coordinates schedules with vendors.Organizes and maintains Design Material Library.Creates and maintains information for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) based on company standards via shared reports including but not limited to Smartsheet and SharePoint. Assists with printing construction documents. Assists Interior Designers with gathering field surveys.Tracks, coordinates, and schedules product installment dates; coordinates with construction crew and outside vendors on multiple concurrent projects to ensure appropriate progress. Uses personal vehicle to transport/purchase materials and furniture to various locations as necessary.Tracks inventory supply and replenishes and/or places special order request when needed.Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program for Interior Design or related field. Minimum two (2) years of administrative or related experience required. Previous interior design experience, a plus. Special Requirements/Certification: Valid California state driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.Must have reliable personal transportation with at least the state minimum insurance coverage; use of personal vehicle is required for essential functions.Pay Range: 17.00/hr-25.00/hr
