International Services Representative
Duties: Prepare visa applications for as well as engages in direct advising of international students and scholars with limited supervision. Advise and educate international students, exchange visitors, researchers, medical residents and fellows, faculty, staff, and academic units on federal immigration regulations. Serve as official liaison to governmental agencies and ensure compliance with immigration regulations. Prepare and submit appropriate employment-based visa applications to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of State and Department of Labor for divisions and/or employees of the institution. Plan and implement social, cultural adjustment, intercultural exchange (including with community), and educational programs and services for international students and scholars. Develop, plan, and conduct workshops to educate on current U.S. immigration regulations and compliance. Develop and maintain relationships with schools and colleges regarding their international faculty, staff, scholars and exchange visitor requirements. Maintain knowledge of U.S. immigration regulations. Research and analyze various immigration matters and determine the appropriate visa options.
