This position is responsible for supporting the inSight Spend Analytics program for the GPO. As the Business Solutions internal expert, this person understands business intelligence methodologies and available business intelligence applications. The manager is expected to work closely with member groups to understand their data information needs and will translate member and business requirements to enhance and maintain the spend analytics tool.
 
The manager will continue to evaluate additional program services which will enhance the inSight Spend Analytic Services offering to the HealthTrust members, and to assure the program maintains a competitive advantage over other GPO offerings. Works with the sales and marketing teams to maximize the pharmacy spend analytics customer base.
 






Work directly with HPG functional teams and members in understanding the information needs and objectives of both internal and external customers.  Ensure program design meets stated objectives.  Gains and maintains extensive understanding and knowledge of available HeatlhTrust spend analytics applications, and make recommendations for changes, additions etc.  Work with business owners to develop benchmark criteria for measuring performance and./or usage information between member groups.  Develops inSight spend analytics business model and service offerings.
 






Ongoing Program Responsibilities :

Has primary responsibility for the inSight analytics activities, including, but not limited to:

Compliance reports, optimization reports, contract conversion opportunity analysis, routine price verification audit program.
Maintains a solid working knowledge of GPO industry trends and best practices as they relate to major technologies, programs, and projects.
Works with members to ensure complete, reliable, and current member sales data is available in the data warehouse.
Performs various data collection, analysis and interpretation to support customer requirements.

Provides purchase trend data for members.
Researches, defines and assists in determining improvement opportunities and streamlines the business intelligence process for both the inSight tool and for members/customers.
Prepares management reports to effectively communicate and explain complete information, define and evaluate conclusions and recommendations.
Provides Support services to HealthTrust corporate office:

Provide subject matter support and assistance to the Technology Innovation group
Provide subject matter support and assistance to Customer Service, Account Management, and other corporate            departments as needed or requested.
Performs other duties as requested by the AVP, Products and Services and Director, Product Management.

 Provides training and support to tool customers
Serves as the supervisor of pharmacy due diligence. This includes ensuring that the finished result is accurate and complete. Extensive communications with other areas of HealthTrust. Continuously review process and tools for improvements.
Works with Finance to ensure reporting needs are met and savings guarantees are tracked.
