Job Summary

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.’s Connected Living organization is seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our Engineering team. This group is responsible development, testing, and release of the flagship Xfinity App. In this role you will collaborate with other developers, designers, testers, and business managers to build new features across multiple native Android apps. You are able to pick up new technologies quickly, a solid teammate, and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands. The ideal candidate will have experience building native Android applications that rely on multiple web services and that operate at scale (millions of users).

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Our team is responsible for the Xfinity App and the Xfinity Home App as well as white-label versions of both applications distributed to partners in the US, Canada and Europe. Our applications provide home network management, home automation and security capabilities. Customers use our applications to setup and install their home network gateways, WiFi extenders, Cameras and other home automation devices. We also provide self-support features to help customers with billing, troubleshooting problems in their home and account management.

Requirements:


5 years experience with the professional native Android app development.

1-2 years experience in creating mobile applications with Java (Android) and/or Kotlin.

Experience with HTTP and RESTful web services and caching especially in HTTP compliant caches.

Fundamental understanding of the HTTP protocol.

A solid sense of ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practices.

A strong passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.

Ability to think critically and independent.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
