Description:
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for entire period end close of divisional ledger (including journal entry preparation, bank reconciliations, accrual analysis and financial statement preparation)
Accounting liaison with A/R department and management: pricing and rebate/discount programs/customer and new product set-up
Fixed asset/construction in process accounting for division (including project accounting from inception to capitalization)
Oversight of divisional A/P Specialist
Intercompany accounting / reconciliation between divisions (G/L and purchased product)
Additional duties and analysis including repairs and maintenance and inventory accounting
ADP Payroll mapping to GL
Use and local tax filings
Costing analysis support for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) manager
Periodic financial statement preparation
1099 Processing
Participate in year- end audit as it relates to the responsibilities listed above
Special projects and analysis as time permits
Requirements:
B.S. in Accounting (CPA or Master’s a plus)
Advanced Excel skills required
Experience with SAGE MAS500 and Fixed Asset Accounting, or equivalent systems, preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a flat, dynamic work environment is required; position interfaces across all major departments of the division and has significant exposure to senior management (President, CFO, Department VPs)
Occasional travel is optional and not required for position
7 to 10 years of experience
Physical requirements include meeting the attendance requirements, ability to sit for extended periods of time and ability to use computers, phones and other office machinery with or without reasonable accommodation.
