The Design and Development Sr. Specialist is responsible for creating **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. learning solutions leveraging a variety of deliverables and technologies. This role will support the enterprise through the development of learning experiences that factor in the needs of our employees, customers and the business. Experience in project management as well as the creation of eLearning's, animated video, video editing, and podcasting will be required.
Responsibilities:
Develops multiple types of learning solutions as determined by the timing, audience and learning objectives
Ensures consistency and excellence in learning materials
Partners with learning partner teams to understand the business needs and develop appropriate learning solutions to solve them
Proactively looks for ways to be creative, innovative, and align with instructional design industry standards
Utilizes analytics and feedback to improve design
Future thinking, has a pulse on the learning and development industry and can recommend new solutions based on this knowledge
Is the voice of the learner, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our content offerings, including accessibility considerations such as ADA compliance or special needs
Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously
Key Skills:
Ability to collaborate and form strong partnerships across many functions of the business.
Able to translate desired learning objectives and outcomes into innovative solutions.
Comfortable with using technology to enable a collaborative and communicative learning environment (Microsoft Teams, Adobe Connect,
etc
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and knowledge transfer
Knowledge of instructional design methodologies including ADDIE and Agile working
Ability to write quality, effective copy, instructional text, and eLearning/video scripts
Motivated by working independently in a fast-paced environment
Is comfortable with receiving constructive feedback and proactively resolves conflicts
Basic Qualifications:
Strong organization skills with the ability to move work forward
Demonstrated strong writing and editing experience
Ability to form strong relationships through collaboration
Proficiency with audio editing tools such as Audacity (or similar)
Proficiency with video and digital design tools such as Articulate (Rise, Storyline), Captivate, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Preferred Qualifications
Foundational understanding of what motivates others to learn
Highly prefer prior experience in large corporation with multi-lingual needs and/or retailer experience
