Software Engineer

Profile

Adecco Engineering & Technical is currently looking for a Software Engineer who will be responsible for writing programs that interface with custom (proprietary) hardware.
This is a Regular full-time direct hire role with our client
This role will also be responsible for creating multi-platform applications, libraries and interfaces.
Platforms could include:
Linux, Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android and a variety of custom embedded systems.

Desired Skills & Experience
BS in Computer Science or over 10 years relevant work experience
4 or more years relevant work experience
Required
Know at least two of these programming languages:
C/C , C# or Java
Excellent debugging skills
Experience with source control
Familiarity with network programming
Detail-oriented
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities independently
Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
Ability to communicate clearly, in both verbal and written format
Comfortable with documenting code and writing documentation for software
Preferred
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
Electrical engineering; understands the principles of electronics
Hardware/software debug
Ability to lead or assist in the development of technical documents
Should be curious about the process and the product
Understands chip to chip communications protocols like SPI
Experience with hardware development
