Regulatory Compliance Officer

Duties: Under general supervision, the Regulatory Compliance Officer maintains research, analysis and evaluation of all Federal, State, and other regulatory requirements for mortgage origination, post-closing, and loan servicing areas. Provide research and written analysis in connection with newly passed regulations, recent judicial actions, and pending legislation. Under the direction of the SVP Regulatory Compliance, research, interpret and provide analysis and guidance on relevant federal and state legislation, court rulings, opinion letters, and agency guidelines, necessary to ensure enterprise compliance. Serve as the subject matter expert on all regulatory matters. Contribute to defining, developing, and communicating effective policies and procedures, implementation and follow-up to ensure compliance. Maintain an informed perspective on organizational risks for influence of pending changes, implementation focus and remediation activities. Contribute to the development of Policies and Procedures. Maintain and publish regulatory requirements. Meet with business units to identify issues and address concerns. Research and provide guidance for identified issues. Complete a thorough and detailed analysis including risk exposure. Identify unique ways to solve issues while limiting Prospect’s liability exposure. Work planning, prioritization and assignment; establish and monitor accountability for subordinates’ job responsibilities. Training and team-building; staff development for professional and corporate growth; coaching, mentoring and counseling. Ensure compliance with Company Policies. Demonstrate and encourage integrity and alignment with Company Vision, Mission and Values.
