Staff II - State and Local Tax (SALT)
The candidate will assist with research and writing projects related to multistate tax issues, including: allocation and apportionment, Nexis, unitary business analysis, audit defense, structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and provision assistance. Will coordinate and collaborate with other in-house tax professionals and clients. Correspond with state and local tax authorities to assist with resolving client matters. Should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field. CPA or parts passed towards completion, CMI, or another advanced degree in an equivalent field, including M.S. Taxation or J.D. are preferred. Must have 1+ year of experience in corporate, pass-through, and or personal income taxes. Experience with state tax research and analysis is required. State income tax experience is preferred. Experience using income tax preparation software is desired. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is needed. Basic understanding of tax research tools (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA) is a plus.
