Lane also specializes in tunnels, metro and railway systems, as well as airports and water and wastewater treatment plantsnJob DescriptionThe foreman is responsible for safety, directing, specific tasks, and interpreting plans.nnResponsibilities:nnIncluding but not limited to:nnSafety of crew and surroundingsntWorking with Senior/General Foreman to ensure materials and products arrive on timentPreview plans and work packagesntCarry out assigned daily tasksntMake work plan for specific job or taskntEnsure all grades and lines are accuratentCommunicate with owners and inspectorsntAs an agent of the company, must be financially responsible in all endeavorsntTrack and agree to daily pay quantities with ownerntDevelop relationships with owners representatives and inspectorsntUnderstand and implement appropriate quality control proceduresntDevelop and train hourly craft workersntCommunicate effectively with all team membersntMonitor daily crew productions based on established budgetsntMust continuously strive to learn latest techniques and means & methods of craft and teach same to crew.ntContinuous update & submission to supervision of inventory list of all tools, equipment, heavy equipment, rentals and reusable materials assigned to them and be responsible for condition and security of same.ntMust have a keen eye for waste and inefficient use of time, manpower, equipment, materials, and all other resources at all times.
