Job Responsibilities:
Manage the development team working on Java/J2EE products.
Oversees all project-related activities on a daily basis and has responsibility for execution and final delivery of the product
Regularly reports project status and issues to technology team management.
Work with the project manager to create project management plan and help the PM manage the plan to schedule.
Ensures that the team uses existing standards and processes throughout the life cycle of the project.
Drives the change management processes.
Facilitates planning, communication and negotiation within the team.
Participates in periodic project management process audits.
Coaches and mentors the development team to bring out the best results from the team
Requirements:
6 years managing enterprise-level software development projects from initiation through completion, ideally ecommerce initiatives.
3 to 5 years of experience managing software development efforts using Agile (Scrum, XP, lean, etc.).
Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle, QA and test methodologies and processes, and experience with one (or more) products through all phases of the software development life cycle.
Ability to accurately distinguish which issues, dependencies, and risks are critical, demonstrate flexibility when prioritizing those issues, and identify, develop, negotiate, and optimize solutions with the Team, internal and external consultant
Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
Strong written & verbal presentation & communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.
Ability to effectively articiculate complex technical issues and share technical information .
Experience in automotive services or collision industries is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
